Inter-University Seminar on Armed Forces and Society (IUS) 2021 Conference

NATO Veterans Initiative Participated in the Inter-University Seminar on Armed Forces and Society (IUS) 2021 Conference – Reston Virginia.

The Inter-University Seminar on Armed Forces and Society (IUS) is a forum for the interchange and assessment of research and scholarship in the social and behavioral sciences dealing with the military establishment and civil-military relations. The Fellows who make up the IUS include academics, military officers, researchers, and students representing a variety of private and public institutions and various academic disciplines.

NATO Veterans Initiative took part in this Conference when a number of academics who are also followers of the NATO Veterans LinkedIn page organized a panel with the title of “Global Coalitions & Cross-National Alliances (Cooperation and conflict between NATO and non-NATO militaries)”. The details of the panel are below:

  • Dr. Sedat Cevikparmak, the coordinator of the NATO Veterans Initiative, also participated in the event and had an opportunity to meet and greet the IUS community and share and spread word about the Initiative.

 

The NAVI Research Institute is the research division of NATO Veterans Initiative - NAVI that provides a unique perspective to transatlantic leaders and societies on peace and security through the lens of NATO's founding principles of rule of law, democracy, human rights, and individual liberties. The NAVI Research Institute was officially established by the NAVI Board on July 16th, 2023.
